If you have a few minutes, please answer a few questions about your preferences during the recording session. It will help us get the most out of it.
We use Riverside.fm to record. It works best Chrome, so please be sure that you have Chrome installed on your computer. Microphones or headsets that plug in using USB will give us the best audio quality. Please use a USB (plug in) microphone or headset for the interview. Wired earbuds will also work, as a second choice. If you need a loaner mic or webcam, just let me know and I’ll send you a mic/cam kit.
Give some thought to the room you choose for the recording session. Rooms with furniture absorb extra sound. That works well. On the other hand, rooms with hardwood floors, with lots of glass windows, and with little furniture — they can have an echo-y sound. Not as good.
The Future Lab is an audio podcast, but we have been recording video as well for YouTube and Instagram promos. We’ll notify you when the episode you record will be ready to publish.
